This week’s Christian Science Sentinel print edition further discusses spiritual healing in the editorial Our role in healing, explaining that our role is to witness what God is already and always doing.

The Bible is unequivocal in stating that God alone heals.

What then is our role, and how can we fulfill it?

Jesus provides clear insight. In John 18:37 he says, “To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.” Our role, then, is to bear faithful, steadfast witness to what is true—to what God knows. In Christian Science this is known as giving metaphysical treatment.
