Whether you turn to God first thing or as a last resort in times of trouble, there’s always more to learn about prayer. This week’s guest has learned that healing prayer is not asking God to change things, but understanding more about God and allowing that understanding to change us.
Dear Friends,
Though there is no remote gathering this week to listen together to this program (they will resume in September), the podcast is always available online to hear at your convenience. This 30 minute program provides helpful ideas and inspiration for effective prayer. All past programs and many other audio recordings are also always available.
This week’s full edition of the Christian Science Sentinel is available in print and audio formats. It alerts us to expect healing, to be sentinels of current thought, e.g. addressing Is humanity losing interest in God by looking at humanity’s continual search for “reality.”
…Jesus simply spoke with people about reality…
[he] was not trying to win a cultural or religious argument…
This article clearly points out just simply sharing truth and the Christ in responding to the wide search for reality.
There is a need today, as in Jesus’ time, for an understanding of reality and the practical solutions this brings to humanity. It is important for us not to fall for the human tendency to define this search in material or denominational terms….
And considering the purpose and essence of “church” in the poem recently published online Where is church, really?
what’s most important is …
healing—the only “proof of its utility.”
[Jesus] wasn’t concerned about where he might or might not be,
knowing that omnipresent Love was all he could see.
It’s all about being and seeing what’s real everywhere. We, too, can see omnipresent Love, in our and others’ experiences today.

Divine Love is infinite. Therefore all that really exists is in and of God, and manifests His love.
