I ask in prayer how I should vote—which candidate is best?
The answer puzzles me at first—the question not addressed:
Acknowledge God, His reign of love, as adequate indeed!
It breaks the spell of dissonance and peace is guaranteed.
My prayer must go much higher than the ballot, now I see.
To cast my vote, I cast my care on God, expectantly.– (poem “To vote” from Nov 3, 2024 Christian Science Sentinel by Carol Dismore)
This book healed me: Leaving it all to God

As the world awaits the results of elections in the United States, this “year of elections”—in which half the world’s population has had the opportunity to participate in one or more significant elections—slowly draws to a close. Here are some articles and podcasts that can help us heal our own fears and be healers as we view and pray about local and global political developments.
There are Reading Rooms in the DC metropolitan area (and around the world) where you can discuss the ideas in these articles and share your questions
- Visit a local Reading Room.
