Becoming a father for the first time can be daunting: grappling with brand new situations, responsibilities, ….and the cost!  This week’s guests have felt some of that, but they have also found that they can turn to God. As they learned more about His fatherhood, their expression of it became easier and more rewarding.
Dear Friends, 
 
Parenting is a topic at the front of thought today, with lots of advice being published. As we consider this topic spiritually, we know the Bible refers to God as Father (as well as Mother) and we can learn more about a higher concept of parenting, governing, and expressing God’s divine guidance in this role. This week’s Bible Lesson includes this statement of Love itself as the divine Parent.
 
Love, the divine Principle, is the Father and Mother of the universe, including man. (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 256)
 
The July issue of the Christian Science Journal includes a related article, A liberating harmony for us all, about the nature of man and woman as each fully expressive of God’s nature as Father-Mother.
