When this week’s guest last joined us on SentinelWatch, he made a startling statement: He’d been praying two to three hours at a stretch each day. “Really?” asked listeners. “How does he do that?” Bob joins us again this week to share his insights about prayer—what it means to pray and how to stick with it.
- How can we really move to truly knowing the Truth, with depth and understanding?
- How to do we find inspiration and meaning, in a way that is not abstract?
- What is the larger resistance to prayer?
“Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires….”
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 1)
(Next week’s program will continue to explore this subject of prayer further.)
Dear Friends,
This week’s podcast addresses prayer in a very individual way. The current issue of Christian Science Sentinel includes articles that provide further insight of very specific, individual prayer is seeing ourselves and others, regardless of any labels or judgements, as God sees, especially in Prayer for the outcast.

The stories will include vivid Monitor photography, and will be written from Indigenous Northern Canada, Bangladesh, Namibia, and Barbados. More to come….
