Healing in war — Tuesday @ 2pm — join us to listen to this week’s SentinelWatch podcast

Democratic Republic of the Congo

Can we really see resolution and healing in times of war and conflict? This week’s guest is from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He shares how Christian Science has helped him during struggles of disease, conflict, and war. His prayers have also brought healing and practical resolutions to those around him.

Hear how he shares about this statement

Thought imbued with purity, Truth, and Love, instructed in the Science of metaphysical healing, is the most potent and desirable remedial agent on the earth.
(Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 4:1–3)

Dear Friends,

This week’s podcast about healing in a time of war includes experiences of protection and healing during the most difficult of physical challenges. It is complimented by the editorial in the current issue of Christian Science Sentinel titled What can we trust, but specifically by the prayers about recent news of war that have been shared online.

The Christian Science Monitor continually covers these and other events and trends around the world. Watch for an upcoming series

“Climate Generation: Born into crisis, building solutions”

Starting Nov 6: A global project by the Monitor’s Americas Bureau Chief, Sara Miller Llana, and Environment and Climate Change writer, Stephanie Hanes, will look at climate change as the world’s most powerful driver of innovation and progress – a transformation that one generation in particular is poised to lead.

The series will focus on the role of those born after the UN’s significant codification of children’s rights in 1989 in addressing climate change. The stories will include vivid Monitor photography, and will be written from Indigenous Northern Canada, Bangladesh, Namibia, and Barbados.

If you have questions about this or any event or Christian Science products, please contact the Reading Room by email at jmrr.dc@gmail.com or call 240-935-8697.
