Women in the Bible–How their stories help us — Hear the Sentinel Watch weekly podcast on Tuesday at 2:00 pm (Eastern)

Woman standing on a beach

When you think of notable women who’ve shaped the world we live in today, do you think of Lydia? Or how about Abigail? Our guest this week discusses the stories—and impact—of these and other female biblical figures and invites you to consider their continuing relevance.

From “Mary Baker Eddy and raising up the standard of womanhood” by Susan Tish, March 2023 Christian Science Journal

…no one is typecast into a limited set of traits or gender-specific roles. We are all made by God, already complete and purposeful. Eddy believed and proved that each of us has the ability to express the motherhood and fatherhood of God—the grace, strength, patience, lovingkindness, and spiritual understanding to accomplish whatever God inspires us to do, and to fulfill our life’s work.

As we gather virtually to listen to this week’s podcast about women in the Bible, we will also take time briefly to look at the current article “Mary Baker Eddy and raising up the standard of womanhood” and the poem “First Person.”

Please join us to learn about women in the Bible and spiritual healing today, as explained in Mary Baker Eddy’s work Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures

Please MUTE yourself during the program. (Press *6 if you are listening by phone, please. This will also UNMUTE you as well.)
